8 dolls I’ll never own :(
Being the doll collector I am, I’ve never taken any interest in Momoko dolls until I saw this colorful and fabulous photo below:

Wizard of Oz - “Over the rainbow” set
Are they not the sweetest dolls you’ve ever seen? Even if I wasn’t a collector I think I’d still be in awe. Sadly, I will never get to own any of these dolls (or even see them in person) because they were only available at the Momoko 7th anniversary event. I had been hoping someone would put them on eBay, but it turns out they’re very limited and cost around $800 US for the whole set. Boo! I guess I’ll just settle on staring at the picture.
On a brighter note, there’s a Momoko (Dorothy) who is also part of the Wizard of Oz theme. I found her on Ebay for only $550! Um…yeah right, I’m never spending that much on a doll. Ever. I believe the seller upped the price and she was originally around $200, but even that’s kind of steep. She’s so cute—I love her hair and *bling* flats!

Sometimes, I hope this whole doll thing is a phase I’m going through. Girls gotta be loaded to keep up with the hobby!

aw, how pretty colors!
They look big… are they? or is it just the picture?
But wow… $800 for dolls? wow….

It’s sad that you will never own them.
$800! Too pricey.

Yeah that is a little pricey for a doll. They are very pretty though.

It’s amazing what people will pay for a hobby. My thing is, if it’s not something I can use immediately, I’d better not spend the cash on it. They ARE pretty frickin’ sweet though.

those are so cute, way too much $$ though.

Oh I love all the pretty colours!!

I have silver flats just like those! haha
I agree, that is an amazingly cute, colorful photo! I love dolls, and looking at artistic pictures of them like that. I’ve always wanted to get into collecting them (Blythe and such) but I’m not about to shell out hundreds for a pretty plaything like that. LOL I’m a cheapskate!

That isn’t *that* much - someday maybe you can own them! They appeal to me; look kinda fashion-y.

I just think dolls are.. creepy. =(

I like the Green, Blue, Indigo and Violet dolls !!!
BUT $800??!??!! Come on! I’ll just buy me loads of shoes. Hahaha!!
But anyway, K2 isn’t that hard once you know which file controls which part of the layout. I’m pretty sure you’ll find it easy.

$550?! $800?! Yikes that is expensive. They are cute though. I particularly like the indigo colored one, but the rainbow effect is pretty.

These are atad creepy but very cool.

Maybe one day you’ll get to own them! Maybe there are doll conventions in the US that you can go to? I’m sure they must have something like that somewhere. The rainbow ones are adorable!

Oh wow. That’s the cutest set of dolls I’ve ever seen. Their hair is absolutely gorgeous. I can’t believe their that expensive. =( I love the doll in the second picture though. Her flats are cute.

Those dolls are very cute.. Wish I had one.

Oh wow, I want those dolls, too. How big/tall are they? Man, I wish they didn’t cost so much

Those are so cute! I love how retro they look. I remember, as a kid, my favorite Barbie was the one my mom gave me that she got in the 60’s. It was complete with cat eye liner and a short, black, teased hair do.

Hmm never heard of them. They are cute at a glance, but if I really look at them… they seem too simplistic.
Purchasing them of course is a personal decision. The only real reason to buy them at that price is if you planned to sell them one day and make a profit. My I Love Lucy doll collection is something that my mom started for me, and I get the dolls as gifts… I’ve never bought one, myself. They have already more than tripled in value… 12 dolls originally priced at $520 are already at a value of over $1600… but I never plan to sell them.
