Babble, babble…
So I’m all by my lonesome tonight. The boyfriend had to go to his work dinner party that they have to attend once a month. I think it’s rather stupid that I can’t go, but it’s no spouses I guess so WHATEV. At least something good comes out of the dinner - he gets his bonus, and with that he’s paying all of the rent. I usually pay half the rent but he told me he’d pay it all so I could save up spending money for when I visit home. It’s not really working out because I haven’t gone to work in two weeks. That’s the problem with being able to work whenever you want, you don’t go. Well… at least I don’t. I hate my job though, and I’m trying to avoid a certain person. Whoever said don’t get involved with a person you work with is sooo right. If I see that person when I go back to work, and they come up to me and say “oh, I was just joking around” I think I may karate their face. And, I’m aware no one knows who or what I’m talking about so I’ll just stop this little rant.
So, the boyfriend is also paying for my ticket to go up north. I’m so excited, I haven’t seen my ma, sister, or my little nieces in over a year. I miss them so much. Really, I miss living in Michigan, I feel like it’s still my home. And Florida… well, it’s like I’m on a permanent vacation that I’m having no fun on. I think I’m an idiot though; because I’ve decided to ride a bus up there! Haha, I’m gonna be on the thing for a day and a half! I know it’s stupid that I’m not flying when I could be there in two hours, but I’ve never been on a plane before and I don’t think I could handle the first time by myself. I even read this and still don’t feel good about a plane… so, a bus it is! Maybe some sweet-awesome 80 year old will sit next to me and tell me their life story.
It started storming earlier, and because James wasn’t home and I hate being by myself in storms I took a drive up to Target and Marshalls to do some browsing. I got a few things at Target but the only thing worth mentioning is the Orchid. I think they’re such beautiful flowers and I’ve been wanting one for awhile. I guess I had been putting off buying one because I’ve heard a lot of people say that their hard to keep alive. So what? I suck at keeping any flower alive. I’m sure it can’t be that hard, plus there’s a lot of websites with care tips.
At Marshalls I bought four books and I only paid $14. I’ve never thought of looking for books there, but it turns out they have a good collection (if you like “how to” books) and at decent prices. I got: Campbell’s 1-2-3 Dinner, Easy as apple pie, The Lovely Bones, and The Great Husband Hunt. The novels will come to good use on the bus, as long as I don’t get car sick… I couldn’t believe the pie book was only $2 dollars, and with this cooking kick I’m on I could have crapped my pants. They had a lot of good books; some about interior design, bartending, lots of cook books, memoirs, and a lot of other stuff. I probably found the only novels they had, well…except for a Harry Potter book but I’m not a fan.
OK…I’ll stop boring you now. If anyone read all of this I give you props for dealing with my randomness.
Hey there, I'm Crystal and this is my blog website. Here you'll read posts about my passions, life, and a lot of randomness.

Where do you work, that you go in when you want? I work in radio and its kinda like that too… every month when send in our calendar with days we can/want to work. And we can switch shifts with each other if something comes up. But I LOVE my job, and if I sit still too long I get antsy and BORED. But my job’s fun - it’s not even a “job” to me, it’s hanging out a concerts for a living.
It stormed here too, WHILE I was shopping. The weather went from 95 to 66 in 5 minutes. I was expecting it to turn severe but it never really did.
My fave place for books is Half Price Books… not sure if you have one where you are? But they are literally 1/2 the price as everywhere else… and used books are even cheaper, like .99-$3.00 = awesome! I never walk out with less than 5 books at a time! [okay, usually 8 ha ha]

Flying is really not that bad, and if you’re on the plane the first time by yourself you can have the attendants check on you and they treat you super good. Going by bus I’d probably kill someone since I get so ADD on long trips. I used to work at Marshalls and all the books were so cheap, I loved it!! Have fun with all of your books and cooking!
Hope everything gets better with work too. And I just realized that my cam image resembled the image on my layout! I wish I had an ass like hers though, lmao. And btw, what cam software do you use? I’ve been meaning to ask you that. =] I’m sick of uploading manually.

I can’t say I blame you for being scared of flying, especially if you’d be by yourself! I’d be freaked out too!
Christine is right though, it’s not as scary as you think it’ll be, especially if you tell the flight attendant you’re nervous.

Aw. It’ll be great for you to go home and see the family. I’m terrified of planes as well. I don’t give you wrong but I would rather be on it than to be on a bus for that long. Orchids are beautiful. They die here quickly though. =(

I would suck not being able to go to the dinner but “No Spouses” is sort of cute, like you’re the wife at home… I like it.
Also, that’s rad he’s paying for so much. You must be really good at something…
Ooh I want an orchid. I had a small palm tree in my old apartment but we didn’t bring it ’cause it was looking pretty sad when we moved. I need plants in my place. I was so excited when my mom brought over cut flowers.
I can’t read in the car, but I can on the bus… dunno why. So maybe you’re the same way.

Flying makes me nervous. I get claustrophobic and also I am a germ-a-phobe so with all of those people, it’s yucky. I much prefer a road trip.

Aww have fun visiting your parents! I guess if you take the bus, you’d save a LOT more money than taking the plane! You can get some reading or w/e on the way.
