Barbie body parts jewelry
When I first stumbled upon the “Plastic Body Series” jewelry by Margaux Lange, I thought the pieces were somewhat bizarre. But, being the doll lover I am I changed my mind and actually find the collection very unique and interesting.

Margaux’s “Plastic Body Series” jewellery stems from a desire to re-purpose common materials (Barbie dolls!) in combination with metals. She takes pleasure in the contrast and contradiction of something mass-produced being transformed and revealed as a unique, handmade, wearable piece of art.
I really adore the “Have a Heart necklace” (Barbie boobs). I thought I’d be too afraid to wear a boobs necklace, but it’s not really all that provocative because Barbie doesn’t have any nipples! (I’ve always wondered why…?) Still, if I wore it I’d probably get a lot of attention!

Wow those are really really REALLY weird…and yet kind of awesome at the same time!
I don’t know what I’d wear!? What’s the top of the ring like? I’m guessing it’s the eye with the teal surround right next to it?

Wow, that’s fascinating… and just a little bit creepy.
It makes me wonder who looked at at a Barbie and thought, “hmm, those barbie boobs would make a great necklace”!
