Beauty Survey
I’m extremely bored; the internets get boring after awhile, I look too scrubby to take photos, and my cable keeps freezing. So… I’m going to do the beauty survey that both Tashina and J posted on their websites recently. Here it goes…
My Foundation:
Before applying foundation I use a moisturizer to even out my skin. My choice moisturizer is
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. It’s perfect for combination skin types which I am, and it goes on smooth and doesn’t feel greasy. At around $20 dollars a pop some people may think it’s a splurge but it’s well worth it, I’ve had mine for over a year and it’s not even half empty, and I use it almost every day! For foundation I’ve been using Physicians Formula Mineral Wear, and I’m quite happy with it. It provides full coverage and last all day, but I don’t want to say too much about it because I plan on writing a post on it soon… I also use Cover Girl concealer under my eyes.
My Mascara:
Like a lot of other cosmetics, I have yet to find my “perfect” mascara. For now I’ve been using Get Bent Mascara by Benefit. It works pretty well with making my lashes longer but sometimes it tends to clump up. I think L’Oreal makes great mascaras…
My Blush:
I’ve been using Neutrogena healthy skin blends sheer highlighting blush and I love it, it blends together so well! But, before I apply the blush I use Bonne Bell Powder Bronze to give my cheeks a warm glow. I apply both with a Donna Loren bronzing brush I found in a set at TJ. Maxx.
My Eye Shadow:
How can someone use just one brand of eyeshadow? There’s so many different shades! I mostly use Hard Candy’s Kaleidoscope Eye Palette, I love the brown shades it has. My new love is MAC Pigment it stays in place so well, and last all night. I work at a club so my eye shadow needs to stay fresh and flawless. I really wanna try Too Faced Galaxy Glam Eye Shadow!
My Day Cream:
Well, I mentioned above that I use the Clinique moisturizer, but recently I purchased Stila Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer and have been testing it out. Watch out for some free samples!
My Lipstick:
I don’t really have a favorite lipstick brand or shade… I think Maybelline lipsticks are decent, and lately I’ve been using MAC Lipstick in “Pink Nouveau.” I prefer lipgloss over lipstick; I love Hard Candy Candy Coating Lip Gloss in “Taffy.” It smells sooo good. Before applying lipgloss or lipstick I usually slather on Chap stick to keep my lips moist.
My Beauty Product Brand:
I really like Hard Candy Cosmetics, basically because I knew of them when I was a little preteen. I wouldn’t really call them my “favorite” brand though, I don’t think I really have a choice brand… I basically like trying out all different brands.
My Essential Beauty Product:
Clinique Clarifying Lotion! I love this stuff, it cleans way down deep in my pores. I also use it to take off my makeup when I get home at 4am and don’t feel like washing my face.
My Favorite Makeup Product:
Foundation. Sadly, I’ve always had slight redness in my t-zone and I need foundation to cover it up. I don’t have Rosacea or anything, it’s just… red. I also have big pores like my mom, my t-zone looks like a strawberry, so foundation is love.
My Perfume:
I. love. perfume. Perfume is one of my guilty pleasures. Right now I have Juicy Couture, Still by Jennifer Lopez, M by Mariah Carey, and Midnight Fantasy by Britney Spears. My absolute favorite perfume is Aquolina Pink Sugar. I also like the smell of Hard Candy Fragrance, it smells very similar to Pink Sugar.
My Nails:
I don’t do fake nails, I keep it real. I usually just file my nails to a square tip and paint them. Sometimes I keep them bare so they have time to breath. Continuously wearing polish can make nails look dull. I also use this buffer.
My Feet & My Hands:
For my feet I just use whatever lotion I have handy. On my hands I use Soap & Glory Great Shakes Hand Cream.
Three Products to bring on a deserted island:
Well… if it’s a deserted island I’d rather bring stuff to keep myself clean and neat. So… I’d bring my favorite shampoo and conditioner, some razors, and… body wash!
Woman I admire for beauty:
Scarlett Johanson. She has the old Hollywood glamour thing going on. She’s so beautiful, and has a bangin’ body!
Woman with the Best Sense of Style:
Your mom. Honestly… I can’t think of anyone who always looks good.
My Ultimate Dream:
Have lots of cash, and not having to worry about money. Then, I could buy all the beauty products I wanted! And… world peace. lol.
How Do I Define Womanhood:
Having boobies and a va-jay-jay. I dunno…
My Favorite Fashion Publication(s):
I love Glamour the most, and it has been magically showing up in my mailbox every month, and neither James or I subscribed to it. Weird. I also like Life & Style, I know it’s a tabloid but it has a lot of fashion in it too, hence the title.
Hey there, I'm Crystal and this is my blog website. Here you'll read posts about my passions, life, and a lot of randomness.

Very nice and interesting… I wish sometimes I was more girly so I can be interested in these beauty products and such. All I know is that I buy what people have recommended to me that works, and then I go get them. It’s a long hard journey yet to still find a mascara that will work for my lashes.

Very interesting!
I want to try MAC products, but I don’t want to betray Clinque, lol.

I remember using Hard Candy nailpolish throughout middle school, and always seeing ad’s for it in Girl’s Life, haha. Memories!

ahh, I hate fake nails, too, and I have the same Neutrogena blush
I’ve never tried MAC, but everyone keeps raving about it.

Eyeshadow is probably my main thing. I’m always wearing it. I love wearing funky colors that match my outfits.

I bought PF Mineral Wear foundation last week! I love it.. Howeeeever, It doesn’t give me full coverage
So I picked up the PF concealer stick, apply that and the foundation and voila, great coverage :]

“So… I’m confused+dumb so here’s a question… Is it supposed to be organic natural stuff like J did, or green colors?
I like the scarve and bag the most. The shirt looks like a dress.”
Think green.
Whatever pops into your head when you hear that is what you can do for the outfit. =] And the shirt is actually just long. I don’t think it’s a dress considering it was in the “tops” section. =]
