“Sheer” Your Toys
January 11th, 2009I’ve wanted to try out gray nail polish ever since Janine first posted about it on her blog. I just loved the whole idea of it. I think gray can mesh well with almost any outfit. Finally I got lucky after Christmas and scored a bottle of OPI’s “Sheer” your toys for 50% off. And today, I applied it to my nails for the first time.
The polish is a nice shade of gray, but I’d prefer something a little bit lighter like OPI’s Moon Over Mumbai. Still, I quite happy with the turnout, especially since I only paid $4 for it.
Even though the gray polish trend started in the Fall, it won’t be leaving us anytime soon. Zoya has released a gray shade apart of their Spring ‘09 collection, and MAC has included a little gray in their highly anticipated Hello Kitty limited edition collection.
For Spring I’m usually a pastel kind of gal, but some of these colors I’ve been seeing in upcoming releases are so unique and fab that I’ll have to try some of them out! I’m loving the bold blue color of Mesmerize by Essie. I also like almost the entire line of OPI’s South Beach Spring collection:
