While browsing Flickr and random blogs, I’ve noticed a lot of people making collages of their favorite Flickr pictures. So, the other day while I was extremely bored, I thought it would be fun to make my own using home design as the collage’s theme. I’ve wanted to decorate my apartment for awhile now, but the lease is up in October, and my broke butt can’t afford it. Plus, it would be a lot rewarding decorating a house I know I’d live in for awhile—I could actually enjoy it. When I finally do get to decorate I hope to include a lot of bright colors, and a mix of contemporary and vintage furnishings. If that makes sense… Anyway, these photos give me a lot of ideas and inspiration, especially on how to display my growing collection of dolls and vinyl toys.

After about 26 days in Michigan, I can honestly say I’m relieved to be back home. Although I did enjoy myself very much it was just too long. I missed the boyfriend, my car, and my own bed! I’m very grateful I got to see my family and a couple friends, and to the people that didn’t make an attempt to see me can go screw themselves. I would have traveled to see them, but I had a limited amount of money, (it sucked, especially with my favorite mall located up there!) and friendships shouldn’t always be one sided.
The best part of my vaca was the three hour trip my mom, sisters, nieces, and I took up north. I got to visit a lot of places I went to as a child, I even went in the backyard of my late grandma’s house. I spent so much time there growing up and it felt weird being there—almost like a dream! It was a little depressing because no one has lived in the house for a few years and it’s falling apart. Oh well, what can I do? If I had $50,000 I would buy the place but I’m far from having that kind of bank.
I took a lot of pictures which I’ve spent today uploading… Here’s a look at some random ones:

I went to the botanical gardens today to shoot some photos…OK I’m lying, the reason I really went there was to get the heck out of my apartment because the lover and I were fighting, and he was going to be home soon. Usually when I get stressed/upset/mad I go for a drive and crank my CD player, but can’t really do that with these gas prices. Anyway, when I got to the gardens I had to wait in my car for, oh, twenty minutes because it was POURING rain. Once it stopped I got out and went photo snappin’ crazy, I had to hurry up though because I was getting feasted on by mosquitoes. I think I got bit like ten times, hope I don’t get Malaria…I know, I know, that’s something I shouldn’t joke about.
I got a couple good shots that I’m proud of considering my camera sucks.
