It doesn’t look the same as it does in the magazine

In the April issue of Glamour magazine there is a four page photo spread called No more blah makeup! GO BRIGHT. It features models wearing bright almost neon colors like yellows, greens, blues, and so on… One page called Megawatt eyes stood out to me most, the photo on the page shows a model wearing bright emerald green eyeshadow, and I thought to myself “I wanna copy this look!” I figure green looks good on me because I have green-hazel eyes, and it goes well with the blond streaks in my hair. The magazine says to try MAC eyeshadow in “Bitter” and only apply it just into the crease. Then, it says to swipe green metallic liner inside the bottom lashes, the only problem is that they don’t clarify what brand or color of liner to use, so I ended up trying MAC Technakohl liner in “Jade Way.” So… here’s a comparison of the magazine photo and a photo of my eye:

Am I missing something, or do the eyeshadows look nothing alike? Good job Glamour magazine! I officially hate you. No, it’s fine, next time I want to copy a look out of a magazine I’ll just pick out the color myself. To me, I think Urban Decay eyeshadow in “Mildew” would match the magazine photo. As for the eyeliner, I could always substitute it with the eyeshadow. Overall, I am happy with the MAC eyeshadow even though it doesn’t look like the magazine photo. I think it makes my eyes look more round, I even took a bunch O’ pictures wearing it.

I’m such a conceited whore.

Delicious!

I love hot wings. I could probably eat them everyday. I love dipping them in bleu cheese until they’re drench in the dressing, mmm… Last night I decided to get a hair up my ass and make my very first batch of hot wings! Usually, I order out or have James make them but I wanted to learn how to make them myself. And, I have to say I did a pretty good job…

YUMMYNESS.

Although, I will admit that I cheated and used Hooters breading and sauce, I just wanted the process to be simple and not time consuming. Maybe next time I will use my own, breading is basically flour, and the sauce can be made with hot sauce and butter. They were quite delicious though. I love my deep fryer, I swear I’m gonna die at the age of fifty from clogged arteries. Not really… I don’t use it that much.

So… my sister had her baby girl last week, she named her Serena. I really need to make it up north soon so I can see her and the rest of my family and friends. It sucks because I could leave now if I didn’t have to pay rent.

AH, BABY!
I feel like I should be more excited about my new niece then I am… Maybe it’s because I’m an aunt for the third time? Or maybe it’s because she won’t know me anyway. I live in Florida, I live approximately 1213.35 miles from the house I grew up in (according to mapquest. ) I never get to visit home. But really, it’s my fault, I waste all my money on stupid shopping because it’s the only thing I have to occupy my time. Sometimes I wonder why I’m still in Florida, and why I’m not back at home in Michigan. I guess I’m just scared to go back…what would I do for a living? I couldn’t do what I do down here. Where would I live? Sometimes I also wonder why I get all emo on posts… Perhaps it’s because my drunk friend from Michigan loves to call me at 1am and make me feel like shit for living down here… She loves to make me feel like things are worse then they are… About James, about my job… I hate when people try to play therapist when I didn’t ask for their damn input in the first place.

Dazed and confused.

Man, I haven’t been blogging as much lately, and I miss it! I’m going through another phase… I’ve been going out drinking and staying out all night, it’s weird because I’m usually such a home body. I think I’m just unhappy or something. I’ve even been working more and that’s very unusual for me because I hate my job. But, I need money because my sister just had her baby and I want to fly up to Michigan to visit, I haven’t up there in a year. I’m home sick.

Anyway, I went to the park and beach this week and want to share some PIIICTURES.
