With neon and bright colors being popular this season Pop Beauty’s Lid Neon couldn’t be more perfect to give your eyelids a bright POP of color. Available at Sephora Lid Neon is a eyeshadow palette with six different matte shades including Pretty Pink, Ripe Orange, Juicy Yellow, Bright Blue, Pastel Turquoise, and Apple Green. As soon as I saw the pretty palette on the shelf I figured I’d give it a try. It cost a decent $22; not exactly bad for a palette at Sephora in my own opinion.

One thing I really like about Lid Neon is it includes tips and tricks on how to apply it. Now, I haven’t got to play around with the colors much, but the other day I tried out two of the colors and wanted to show my results…

With the hot sticky summer weather around the corner I have been on the hunt for a nice tinted moisturizer. I usually wear foundation but it tends to feel gross on my skin in the hot humid Florida weather. I think tinted moisturizer is good for hot weather because it provides coverage, makes skin softer, doesn’t feel too heavy, and some products provide sun protection. Recently, I purchased stila illuminating tinted moisturizer spf 15, it’s not exactly what I have been looking for in a tinted moisturizer because I crave more coverage, but it’s still a nice product. The moisturizer goes on smooth and makes my face feel nice and soft. It only provides a hint of sheer coverage, but if I want more coverage I just mix it with my choice foundation. I like the subtle shimmer it has because it makes my face glow, which I think is a nice look for the summer. Another thing I like is it’s spf 15 and protecting your skin against sun damage is always a good thing. Especially for someone like me who is fair complected and gets moles very easily. Overall, this product does exactly what it claims to; it delivers a hint of sheer coverage, subtle shimmer, SPF 15 and added moisture in one effortless application. Perfect for everyday use, the silky formula blends beautifully for a pretty, luminous look.

O-Gloss by Smashbox is a newer lip gloss that goes on clear, and then reacts with your personal skin chemistry to create your own custom shade of pink. O-Gloss is also loaded with microcirculating Goji Berry-C Complex™ and ginkgo biloba, pomegranate seed antioxidants, revitalizing marine botanicals and moisturizing avocado oil for lustrous shine.

I first saw the ad for O-Gloss in Allure magazine, and, being the lip gloss junkie I am I knew I’d have to try it out. I made a trip to Sephora and $70 dollars later I had scored myself some O-Gloss. No. O-Gloss isn’t $70 dollars, it’s $22 dollars, but I can’t go to Sephora and only purchase one item!

So here’s the question…does O-Gloss actually work? Yep:

The picture doesn’t exactly do the gloss justice. But, when I use this stuff it changes my lips to a nice shade of pink. When I apply more gloss I get more color. I love O-Gloss! It glides on smooth, and it’s not to sticky. It doesn’t really have a scent, so there’s no overpowering smell.

O-Gloss may be a bit of a splurge but I think it’s worth it. Although, I have read about a similar product called mark Glossblossom by Avon and it supposely does the same thing. Plus, it’s only six dollars. Maybe I’ll have to purchase it and compare the two.
