<a href="http://hardcandy.com/"target="_blank">Hard Candy Cosmetics has been one of my favorite makeup brands since they first debuted in 1995 with their Vintage nail polish. The brand is mostly geared towards teenagers, but my kooky and girly self just can’t get enough of their pretty shades and fun packaging.

Today, while checking my email inbox I received a message from the brand stating that all the products on their website are 50% off. At first I thought to myself “is this message fake?” It was in my junk folder, so to be positive I pointed my browser toward hardcandy.com and sure enough their having a summer sale with EVERYTHING 50% off. I’m so happy, I already purchased three things and only spent $20 dollars with shipping. If I could spend more money I would probably buy the whole damn website! I hope the sale last for a little bit because I really want to get their perfume - it smells a lot like Aquolina Pink Sugar, but with a spicy kick to it, and $21 isn’t very much for a 1.7 oz bottle of perfume.

I seriously love this brand, and although every thing’s on sale I hope their not going out of business or anything. Yet, I can’t see happening since their a division of <a href="http://urbandecay.com"target="_blank">Urban Decay Cosmetics, but who knows…

Some of their fabulous products:

Take Out Makeup Kit
This cute little kit is probably the best deal simply because it includes everything: 8 eye shadows, 6 lip glosses, 1 eye liner, 2 concealers, 1 mascara, 1 blush, 1 bronzer, and applicators. It’s perfect to take traveling, or give it as a gift. Pus it comes in an adorable Chinese take-out box. <s>$25</s> $12.50

Hint Tint
This is actually one of the products I bought… With the hot humid summer weather I’d rather skip caking on the foundation and instead try this light tinted moisturizer. It claims to even out the skin and make it look natural and finished. It’s also oil-free which is perfect for people with problem skin, and protects against UV rays but contains no chemical sunscreens - super! <s>$16</s> $8.25

Lollipop Lip Gloss
OK… I bought one of these too, but look how cuute they are! I’m not one for using my finger to apply lip gloss (I’m too lazy to go and wash my finger), but I just love the packaging on these and have lusted after them for awhile. I got the flavor Chocolate Caramel Kiss, and it sounds yummy. <s>$6</s> $3

Bling Bling
I lust after this product simply for the fact that I’ve always wanted to put loose glitter all over my eyelids without it falling on my face and stabbing me in the eyes. Bling Bling comes in four different shades of loose glitter each with a base to keep it in place. I want to rock this at a nightclub. <s>$16</s> $8

Can someone please take my debit card away?

The maxi dress is certainly no new trend, celebrities love the long flowing dresses and it’s a favorite among stars such as Nicole Richie, Vanessa Hudgens, and many more. It’s also a favorite among pregnant women, probably for it’s slimming ability.

Even though the dress has been quite popular for awhile, it didn’t quite catch my eye until this season. I think with the help of all the pretty and funky prints, bright colors, bold accessories and shoes, the maxi dress is looking better than ever. Yet, I still find myself maxi-less, but I will find the perfect one.

You have to be very choosy when picking out the perfect maxi dress. The shape and cut is very important, try a dress that fits your body the right way, or you’ll look like your wearing a garbage bag.
Women with large breast should try a halter dress with thick straps to offer support. And, if you think your figure isn’t right for the dress, like, you think you’re too big - think again. Try a solid-colored dress rather than a print that will make you appear larger than you are.

One thing I really love about the maxi dress is it can be dressed up by adding accessories. Wear it at the beach during the day, then a hot date by night. Again, it also really depends on the dress and the shoes you wear with it - gladiator sandals, wedges, flip flops, and even the right heels can look good with a maxi dress. If you’re petite like me I think the heels would be a good idea.

A few different styles…

Left - Printed Crinkle Dress from Bebe, $159.
I love the elegant yet sexy appeal the Bebe dress has to it. Plus the combination of the little flower designs and black solid color is very flattering. I love the neckline.

Middle - Knit Halter Maxi Dress from Express, $69.99.
Features a fun floral print that I love. I can totally picture myself strolling down the beach in this dress with a tote in hand.

Right - Mossimo Supply Co. Long V-Neck Braided Halter Dress from Target, $22.99.
A solid bright yellow dress keeps it simple yet gets you noticed. Would look great on someone with a nice summer tan. This dress is a perfect example of one that can be dressed up or down.

If you’re also looking for a maxi dress Wet Seal just got a few new styles in, and Victoria’s Secret has a lot on sale. They’re all really pretty too.

What do you think of the maxi dress? Hate it or love it?

After months of complaining about my website’s frequent downtime and errors, I finally made the move over to a new host. It took me a couple hours last night, it was easy moving the files but moving the Wordpress database was a little confusing…I was being a ditz and looking too deep into it, but I finally figured it out. Everything seems to be working fine, I had to fix a couple plugins but now everything looks alright. My webcam image even changed! For some reason when I was updating it before the image stayed the same? It was really pissing me off, and it must have had something to do with my old host. Stay away from Pixelled Solutions!! Unless you like frequent downtime, database errors, and no responses then give them a shot. I’m with VoNetwork now and they seem great. I’ve heard good things about them, and they set my account up right away. Plus, I’m only paying $20 for the whole year with 200mb of space and 2,000mb of bandwidth - such a great deal! Their lowest plan starts at $10 for the whole year! Can you tell I have an affiliate account with them? Bish betta have my money!

Hopefully I won’t have to deal with anymore headaches when it comes to my website.

I’m so tired. I think the boyfriend and I have a fun-filled day planned for tomorrow, so I must go to bed now. No more staying up until 7am Crystal!

PS. Add me on Plurk lovers.

I have yet to try it out myself, but it looks easy and makes a great “I’m bored” activity…

Modern ribbon charm bracelets are a new trend that you may have seen celebrities such as Angelina Jolie and Naomi Watts sportin’ on their wrists. Yet while their designers versions cost hundreds (the bracelet pictured left retails for $110 at Saks Fifth Avenue), you can make your own with just a few dollars and a little time. Let’s get crafty up in here!

1. If your charm doesn’t have a ring at the top, you’ll have to add a jump ring (get 9mm size). To do, open it by twisting the wire ends, one forward, the other back. Slip on the charm, then twist the ends together again.

2. Slide your largest charm onto 1 yd. of soft 1 1/2″ ribbon (if it comes with wire edges, pull out the wires first). To do, roll the ribbon’s end into a tube small enough to pass through the ring easily.

3. Move the charm to the center of your ribbon then tie a knot on each side. Slide additional charms at each side, if desired.

4. Trim ribbon ends into rounded points and paint with colorless nail polish to prevent fraying. Twist the ribbon into a “rope,” wrap three times and tie the ends.

To make your bracelet more personal, chose a charm that has a special meaning to you. Find a huge selection of inexpensive charms at craft stores.

That on Thursday night I hung out with my ex-boyfriend Jason and his girlfriend Sarah? Let me mention that he wasn’t just a boyfriend I dated for a few months, I was with him for two years. He’s the one I moved to Florida with, he’s the reason I’m even in this stupid state! He was a horrible boyfriend; he never spent anytime with me, always picked his friends over me, cheated on me more than once, and he slept with my friend. And, now we hang out? Yep.

Sarah and him started coming up to my work a few months back, and when I first caught his eye I thought to myself “Oh, shiz….this isn’t what I need right now.” Instead of getting all mad I figured I’d be civil and ask him how things were going in his life…And to my surprise he wasn’t at all cocky, and Sarah was really friendly, and I could tell she wasn’t just being fake. So, they both started coming up to my work more and more, and I would sit and talk to them, we’d laugh, and oddly not feel uncomfortable at all.

For awhile she had been asking me if I wanted to hang out, but something always came up so it never happened until last Thursday. We all went and played miniature golf, and afterwards we went to some dive-redneck bar, and after that we went and hung out at my work.

Everyone thinks that they’re trying to get me to have a threesome. It wouldn’t surprise me if Jason wanted one because he’s a freak that way, but if Sarah agreed to something like that she’d have to be an idiot. I’m his ex for heaven’s sake! Let me also put out there that I would never have a threesome anyway, that just ain’t my bag. It’s weird though…Jason still looks at me in a certain way. I mean, I know him, and the way he looks at me it’s like he still has feelings for me, or wants me or something. I thought I still had feelings for him still at first, but then I faced reality… He did me so wrong when we were together that I could never feel anything for him again.

I think Sarah wants to hang out with me because she doesn’t trust him, and wants to know his dirt. The other night she was asking me tones of questions about girls he’s slept with and whatnot. She even said she doesn’t think he would not cheat on her. I dunno.

I just hang out with them because I have almost zero friends in Florida, mostly everyone I know are acquaintances. Having a girl friend to talk to is nice, even if she’s my ex-boyfriend’s girlfriend.

What do you think? Should I not hang out with them?

1.) Paul Frank Wallet
The wallet from Fred Flare is so cute and I love the colors - I think it has a vintage feel to it. It’s roomy enough to fit all your cash, checks, and cards, and includes a removable mirror! If only they had an ice cream bag or tote to match.

2.) Todd Oldham Triple Scoop Flower Arrangement
I’ve always thought Todd Oldham was great at making funky stuff for the home, and it proves he hasn’t lost his touch with this Carnation arrangement. I don’t know if you’d see this on my kitchen table, but I think it would look perfect on a patio or back porch.

3.) ME! Bath Fizzles And Shower Sherbets
ME! Bath Fizzles come in 39 scents, some including Choco-holic, Cucumber Melon, and Strawberry Kiwi. Mmm…I seriously have to get me some of these. The fizzles are also handmade and preservative-free. The Shower Sherbet is a sugar-based body scrub that comes in cute ice cream pints, and comes in 13 different scents.

4.) 80’s Purple Tai - Blue Ice Cream Cone w/ Crystal Necklace
I’m loving this necklace; it’s pretty, and adorable at the same time. I would totally rock it!

5.) Ice Cream Cone Plush Toy
Pamper your pooch with this sweet soft plush. Available in vanilla or strawberry. I would get one for my dog, but she’d tear it to shreds.

Usually when I get stressed/upset/mad I go for a drive and crank my CD player, but can’t really do that with these gas prices. Anyway, when I got to the gardens I had to wait in my car for, oh, twenty minutes because it was POURING rain. Once it stopped I got out and went photo snappin’ crazy, I had to hurry up though because I was getting feasted on by mosquitoes. I think I got bit like ten times, hope I don’t get Malaria…I know, I know, that’s something I shouldn’t joke about.

I got a couple good shots that I’m proud of considering my camera sucks.

Of course I did some post processing on the photos. I really want a digital SLR in a baad way. There was one on my amazon wish list and it was only $450, but it went back up to $600 for some reason. Those a-holes. I should of gotten one when I had the chance.

Speaking of photos…I was browsing my flickr and I noticed that this photo has a lot of hits. I checked the stats and saw it was was coming from this comments thread. I usually ignore these things, but how is someone going to pick on me just because I’m associated with someone else? Gotta love the jealous haters. Don’t people have anything better to do with their time?

They were so cute and I loved styling their crazy hair. Now, a part of my childhood is back with these grassy trolls. Turf Trolls are cute little collectibles that grow grass out of their heads. They come in four different styles but what you get is a surprise. I want every single one! From Urban Outfitters.

1. What was I doing 10 years ago?
I was thirteen…shit, it’s hard for me to remember anything. Um…I was obsessed with boys, I talked on the phone for HOURS after school, and I liked to often play dress-up:

2. What are 5 things on my to-do list today?
Well, it’s 1am, so first I need to go to sleep. When I wake up I dunno…maybe I’ll go swimming, and I wanted to cook a meatloaf for dinner. I would also like to come up with a new theme for this website but I don’t think that’ll get done.

3. Snacks I enjoy:
I’m the snackin’ queen! Seriously I’m such a fatty. I love potato chips and french onion dip, tortilla chips and salsa, and yogurt - it’s good for the vagina.

4. Places I’ve lived:
I lived most of my life in Holly, Michigan until two years ago when I moved to Florida.

5. Things I’d do if I were a billionaire:
Give my sister and some of my other family money, start a couple of charities, have a fabulous wardrobe, own the most awesome doll collection in the world, travel, own a beautiful house with a lot of land and animals including a Llama.

6. People I want to know more about:
Anyone really. I’d loved to make some “normal” friends.

So I’m all by my lonesome tonight. The boyfriend had to go to his work dinner party that they have to attend once a month. I think it’s rather stupid that I can’t go, but it’s no spouses I guess so WHATEV. At least something good comes out of the dinner - he gets his bonus, and with that he’s paying all of the rent. I usually pay half the rent but he told me he’d pay it all so I could save up spending money for when I visit home. It’s not really working out because I haven’t gone to work in two weeks. That’s the problem with being able to work whenever you want, you don’t go. Well… at least I don’t. I hate my job though, and I’m trying to avoid a certain person. Whoever said don’t get involved with a person you work with is sooo right. If I see that person when I go back to work, and they come up to me and say “oh, I was just joking around” I think I may karate their face. And, I’m aware no one knows who or what I’m talking about so I’ll just stop this little rant.

So, the boyfriend is also paying for my ticket to go up north. I’m so excited, I haven’t seen my ma, sister, or my little nieces in over a year. I miss them so much. Really, I miss living in Michigan, I feel like it’s still my home. And Florida… well, it’s like I’m on a permanent vacation that I’m having no fun on. I think I’m an idiot though; because I’ve decided to ride a bus up there! Haha, I’m gonna be on the thing for a day and a half! I know it’s stupid that I’m not flying when I could be there in two hours, but I’ve never been on a plane before and I don’t think I could handle the first time by myself. I even read this and still don’t feel good about a plane… so, a bus it is! Maybe some sweet-awesome 80 year old will sit next to me and tell me their life story.

It started storming earlier, and because James wasn’t home and I hate being by myself in storms I took a drive up to Target and Marshalls to do some browsing. I got a few things at Target but the only thing worth mentioning is the Orchid. I think they’re such beautiful flowers and I’ve been wanting one for awhile. I guess I had been putting off buying one because I’ve heard a lot of people say that their hard to keep alive. So what? I suck at keeping any flower alive. I’m sure it can’t be that hard, plus there’s a lot of websites with care tips.

At Marshalls I bought four books and I only paid $14. I’ve never thought of looking for books there, but it turns out they have a good collection (if you like “how to” books) and at decent prices. I got: Campbell’s 1-2-3 Dinner, Easy as apple pie, The Lovely Bones, and The Great Husband Hunt. The novels will come to good use on the bus, as long as I don’t get car sick… I couldn’t believe the pie book was only $2 dollars, and with this cooking kick I’m on I could have crapped my pants. They had a lot of good books; some about interior design, bartending, lots of cook books, memoirs, and a lot of other stuff. I probably found the only novels they had, well…except for a Harry Potter book but I’m not a fan.

OK…I’ll stop boring you now. If anyone read all of this I give you props for dealing with my randomness.
