Flowers and drunks.
Before I lived here I came to Florida for a visit, one day I had nothing to do while my ex-boyfriend was at work so I decided to take a drive…I made my way to a little garden that the town had put together. I loved the garden, it had waterfalls, statues, and a lot of flowers, it was a great place for pictures. After I moved down here I tried to find the garden but I couldn’t remember where it was at, when I had went to it previously I didn’t know the name of it or what city I was in…well today I found it! It’s called the Nature Coast Botanical Gardens, it turned out to be in Spring Hill which is about 30 minutes away from my house. I’m so happy I found it, I’ve been wanting to find a place to take pictures of flowers. I love it there it’s so quiet, it’s what I would call a hidden treasure.

Yesterday James and I went to the Salvador Dali Museum. It’s the first art museum I’ve ever been to, I had never heard of his work before and all I can say is it was strange yet interesting…he must of had a fascination with ants and bloody women because they were on a lot of his paintings. I wish we would have waited for the tour so I could of maybe heard some history behind the paintings.
On the way back home from the museum I was sitting in traffic and I looked to my right only to see a man hitting another man with a golf club! I could tell they weren’t just playing around either, the guy was wailing on him! I’m nosy so I told James to turn around so we could see what happened, when we got there the abuser was shutting his garage door and the other guy was laying in his lawn. After that the police came and made us wait so we could fill out witness reports. James had talked to somebody, and it turned out that the two guys are neighbors and they get drunk and start fighting. I thought it was so funny, the guy that got his ass kicked looked like a homeless dude! He had long hair and a long beard and wasn’t wearing a shirt. He started cussing up a storm when they were loading him into the ambulance, he even got off the stretcher fell on his ass, got up and walked back home!
Only in Florida…

Your photos turned out great, the ones of flowers are so pretty. I love going to gardens and taking photos of flowers and things, never seen a lizard though, we don’t get them here.

AHAHAHA!! That was funny about the two guys fighting. I hope I don’t end up with a neighbor that I wouldn’t be in good terms with. Anyway, that was so cool finding your lost secret garden!! And I love the pictures! I found a little garden in Seattle too, but it was more like a park with not much flowers… I’ll try to take pictures again there.

“Only in Florida…” ha ha. SO TRUE! I have met some weird people here in Florida - like tonight for an example. Jeesh! I am JUST like you - I’d turn right back around and see what happened next ha ha. Usually the typical drunk IS homeless or looks homeless. True story.
I really love the pictures you took with your new camera
I bet you love carrying that thing around! I know I do!
Weird artist….
