In My Bag: O-Gloss by Smashbox
O-Gloss by Smashbox is a newer lip gloss that goes on clear, and then reacts with your personal skin chemistry to create your own custom shade of pink. O-Gloss is also loaded with microcirculating Goji Berry-C Complex™ and ginkgo biloba, pomegranate seed antioxidants, revitalizing marine botanicals and moisturizing avocado oil for lustrous shine.
I first saw the ad for O-Gloss in Allure magazine, and, being the lip gloss junkie I am I knew I’d have to try it out. I made a trip to Sephora and $70 dollars later I had scored myself some O-Gloss. No. O-Gloss isn’t $70 dollars, it’s $22 dollars, but I can’t go to Sephora and only purchase one item!
So here’s the question…does O-Gloss actually work? Yep:

The picture doesn’t exactly do the gloss justice. But, when I use this stuff it changes my lips to a nice shade of pink. When I apply more gloss I get more color. I love O-Gloss! It glides on smooth, and it’s not to sticky. It doesn’t really have a scent, so there’s no overpowering smell.
O-Gloss may be a bit of a splurge but I think it’s worth it. Although, I have read about a similar product called mark Glossblossom by Avon and it supposely does the same thing. Plus, it’s only six dollars. Maybe I’ll have to purchase it and compare the two.

Great lip shape!
I don’t wear gloss often. Mostly just lip balm so my lips look supple but not shiny. My boyfriend actually hates when I wear anything on my lips ’cause it gets on his lips when we kiss and he doesn’t like it. So I get to be low-maintenance. I want to try some lip plumpers tho.

YAY! You’re back! Damn hosting companies!
I LOVE lipgloss and this is GORGEOUS and a neat idea! Sephora is addicting, so I’m pretty sure I’ll see it there when I go shopping.

I almost picked that up today! But then, I wasn’t sure if it’d be worth it and put it back. Ended up spending $50 though. :-x After this post though and how good it looks on you… Next paycheck I am so going back to Sephora!

You’re back! I visited your site so many times while it was down. I enjoy reading your blogs so much, I missed it. =D
That lipgloss looks amazing. I’m not quite sure if we have it here though. I’ve been using a Revlon one for quite some time. Lately, I’ve been having some problems though. When I’m with my boyfriend all the gloss ends up on his face. =/ Maybe I should give this one a try.

Oh, I didn’t realize they had an O-gloss.
I have the Almay version of O-glow for cheeks, I wonder if they have a lip gloss one, too?

I remember when we first got these at Sephora we all got it for free. We had so much fun playing in it LOL

I’m normally a lip balm kind of person but I may have to give it a try since I don’t wear lipstick..
Congrats on being back, my hosting company is being an **** as well.

Ooo! I have such thin lips though, lol. Nothing looks good on them except a nude lipstick.
But your lips look awesome!

Shoot, I want. I waaaaaant! But I swear by my Chapstick and Nivea lip tint thing. Makes the rest of my face look tanned, cos it’s a pearly pink.

I love it! I don’t think we have that make-up here, and I guess that I would never buy it for $22. But still, it looks like great stuff.
I read your other post also. When I saw that your website was offline, I thought you were gone!! I’m glad you are back, but it’s so sad to read you are in debt. I wish it all will come allright..
Big Hug,
-xoxo-

Ack, thank goodness you’re back! I’m gonna go get that stuff I think. Anything but gloss makes me look like a duck.

I love O-Gloss. But I still haven’t purchased it. This is how much of a MAC snob I am. It’s kinda sick.

“and then reacts with your personal skin chemistry to create your own custom shade of pink.”
Really? I want it. I love your lips, btw.

Hi there,
I realize this is a strange thing to post on a blog, but I’m a health reporter for msnbc.com, and I’m working on a story about the surprising ways the sun can damage the lips.
Seems like you’re someone who’s always slathering something on her lips
I’d love to speak to someone who’s a self-proclaimed lip gloss junkie.
Do you do much to protect your lips from sun damage? I’d love to talk to you about your habits. If you’re interested, please call me at 425.421.1433 or shoot me an e-mail at melissa.dahl@msnbc.com.
Thanks so much!
