It’s raining hard.
Ah! Ma, I’m scared!
Why do I always have to be home alone in severe thunderstorms? It wouldn’t be so bad if Florida had basements, and I didn’t live on the second story in an apartment building. Now, I know why I kinda miss the winter; it was a nice break from storms and tornado watches. Thankfully, it’s not that bad outside or I wouldn’t be sitting here typing to myself, but there is a tornado watch until 11pm. I guess I should consider myself lucky that I only have had to go through storms and no hurricanes since I’ve moved here in 2006.
I went to go to one of my favorite local thrift stores today and it was closed. No!!! They made the space into some kind of health place by the way it looked. I liked that store because it was small and not ever busy (probably why it closed) and it benefited animals. I need to find some better thrift stores, I can never find anything good at the ones around my city, the stuff is always crap. It could be because is Port Richey is redneckville.
Since the thrift store was closed I went to Walgreens to browse. I ended up buying clear nail polish, batteries for my camera, a Mr. Goodbar, and a $3.99 cookbook. The cookbook was a great deal for $3.99, it’s a hard cover book and has a bunch of traditional recipes, I really want to bake a pie!
This storm is starting to go crazy, I need to get away from the huge windows before my ass gets struck by lightening!

Ohhhhh man, I feel ya! I love the wintertime because that’s when we get a break from thunderstorms too here in San Antonio, TX.

Scary and freaky!
We’ve only had one tornado watch (a real one) my 6th grade year? And the only thing I recall to be important was that I was missing my Dragon Ball Z episode because my mom made us all hide in the barbie house downstairs in our basement. -_-;
I wish I could cook.
Cooking would such a nice addition to college life. lol.

Wow, I’m glad we don’t have adverse weather here. We have lots of rain and some snow (and sometimes ‘ice storms’ that can cause damage but you aren’t going to get your house ripped away or anything or even hurt if you stay inside). Today it was GORGEOUS here.
I need to find thrift shops around here as well. If there are any, it will be the jackpot I’m sure, as I live in a very affluent area. In my old neighborhood tons of people shopped at Goodwill, etc., but I’m hoping because people here have a lot of money I will walk into a gold mine.

It’s been really nice here lately, all sunny and it’s starting to warm up too! We’re around 50’s now. YAY! Can’t wait for Spring. It’s going to be good for picture taking!! I’m sure you’re excited about that too! Hehehe!!!
Anyway, here, it’s Fall and Winter when we get bad weather. Like windstorms. I’m glad there aren’t any big trees around my place ’cause some people’s houses have been damaged by falling/breaking/uprooted trees. Scary!
Oh, and it’s been 6 months with Jake =). Aww.. we’re still a baby!!! How about you and James? Years right? :heart:
