Perdy Nails
I should really be in bed right now, instead, I’m here talking to myself… Bare with me on this entry, I’m tired…
I gave myself a little home manicure today, well technically yesterday since it’s almost 3am. Anyway, I’m usually pretty lazy when it comes to my nails. I mean, I keep them decent looking, but I never take care of my cuticles and I paint them only if I absolutely have to…I hate waiting for the paint to dry, and I also have shaky hands. I would get them done professionally, but I think it’s a waste of money, and I hate fake nails because they have messed up my natural nails in the past. I also know a girl who has fungus from her acrylic nails! Besides, my natural nails are strong, and grow easy. So, I took some time tonight, and did my nails the right way. I soaked my fingers in soapy water, scrubbed with sugar and olive oil, pushed back my cuticles, applied cuticle oil, and used lotion. And the result…
(Usually, I keep my nails longer and squared but a couple broke the other day…)
My hands feel a lot softer and I love the polish color. It’s essie polish in the shade “Hard to get.” The color is a lot more pink and brighter in person. The polish is apart of the essie spring set I bought yesterday, I love all the soft pastel colors…Next I wanna try neons! My cuticles are still jacked up though, so I’ll have to remember to keep applying the cuticle oil. I need to find a new hand lotion, something that won’t make my hands feel greasy, I hate that! Any suggestions?
Later on…after I go to bed then wake up (lol it’s weird typing in the early AM) I’m gonna treat my footsies. Super.

I really like your nails how they are! I did my nails today too, but mine aren’t shaped nearly as pretty and all I did was take off all the polish, scrub and lotion. I really need to either get ‘em pro done or buy some new nail color at least.

I’ve never had my nails done professionally because I’m scared it’ll hurt. LOL! And I’m scared when they take out cuticles.. ugh. Anyway, I want to paint my nails too! I need to learn how to properly do it coz I can’t make it look decent. Especially on my right hand because I’m right handed and it’s a pain to paint using left hand!

I have never got my nails done. I would love to get them done professionally but it just causts too much money for me. Right now I’m trying to let my nails grow and I must say that I am doing good with that right now haha (nail biter).

You have such nice nails. My nails (and fingers!) are just meh. They’re short and weak and I have to use nail hardener whenever I use nail polish. I dont take care of my nails, either. I chew on them and pick on the cuticles. This is why I ALWAYS have to have painted nails, except I swear by red nail polish which makes my nails yellow. Meh.

I love your nails. I tend to paint my nails myself as well. I guess I don’t have much times on my hand to get my nails done professionally due to studies. Oh! I love pastel colors as well. That shade of pink is really lovely. I’m not too fond of bright colors.

ooo i likey the nails. I have never given myself a manicure before. Sounds like it would be fun to get a bunch of girl friends together and have a mani/pedi, watch a movie and eat lots of food night!

Your nails came out great. I finally got mine done as well. I kind of wish I would have just done them at home, though. Getting both my hands and feet done professionally was kind of expensive.

You natural nails look so strong and pretty. Mine are damaged after wearing fake nails for so long (not because of the way they were applied). I guess fake nails are okay if you go to a proper salon and if you don’t leave it on for a long time. Olive oil and sugar? How many times do you have to do it to see results? I’m gonna try that!
